Tattoo removal works by using laser technology to break down the ink particles in the tattoo. The laser emits short pulses of high-intensity light that target the pigment in the tattoo ink. This light energy is absorbed by the ink, causing it to fragment into smaller particles. Over time, the body’s immune system naturally processes these smaller ink particles, gradually fading the tattoo with each session. The number of sessions required depends on factors like the size, colour, and age of the tattoo.
We only use state-of-the-art Pico lasers. To remove the tattoo our PicoWay lasers shoot high-speed, and high intensity acoustic light through the top layer of skin, directly hitting the larger pigments of ink, shattering the ink into smaller particles. The immune system then removes the shattered ink particles causing the tattoos to fade and eventually disappear.
The cost of laser tattoo removal varies based on several factors, including the size and complexity of the tattoo, the number of sessions needed, and the location of the tattoo. For a smaller tattoo you can expect to pay from as little as $99 per session. We offer flexible payment options including a weekly, interest free payment plan after the initial treatment starting from $8.25 a week.

The tattoo removal process varies depending on several factors, including the size, colour, and age of the tattoo, as well as your skin type and how your body responds to the laser treatments. Generally, each laser tattoo removal session lasts between 10 to 30 minutes.
However, multiple sessions are required to achieve complete removal or significant fading. On average, most tattoos require 6 to 12 sessions, spaced about 6 to 8 weeks apart, to allow the skin to heal and the body to process the ink particles.

Most people say it feels like a rubber band snapping against the skin. The PicoWay laser is generally less painful than older lasers. We recommend applying a numbing cream (available at pharmacies) around 45 minutes before your appointment, and we use a cooling device, called a Zimmer, during treatment for added comfort. Staying hydrated, avoiding caffeine/alcohol and getting a good nights sleep before your appointment can also help. We’ll discuss all pain management options during your initial free consultation.

While no natural remedy removes tattoos, supporting your skin’s health can help alongside laser treatments. Staying hydrated, eating a healthy diet, protecting the area from the sun (high SPF!), moisturising, and avoiding smoking all help the process post a laser treatment. We also highly recommend using a post Laser gel 2-3 times per day, which you can purchase from us at your appointment.
Proper aftercare is crucial for protecting your skin, minimising side effects, and achieving the best possible tattoo removal results. Following these steps carefully will help ensure a smooth healing process. Keep the treated area clean, apply soothing post treatment Gel, (Laser Recovery Gel can be purchased at your appointment) and keep it covered for the first few days with a sterile dressing. Avoid soaking. Don’t pick any blisters or scabs! Blisters are not what we expect or like to see, and unfortunately they can happen. If any blisters occur, please contact the clinic, do not pop them. Once the skin is healed, protecting the area from the sun with clothing and daily SPF 30+ is crucial for best results. Contact us immediately if you notice signs of infection. We provide detailed instructions after every session.
